**Seasonal RN Contract - Days - Float - Venice (16 Weeks)

About the Role

16-week seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) contract opportunity for the day shift on our Float Team. As an RN on the Float Team, you provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care setting.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program.
• For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required within a specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy.
• Two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within 90 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six (6) months of hire.
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification within thirty (30) days of hire.
• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification.
• Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Certification in a nursing specialty area.
