About the role

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
• Prepare and ship customer’s orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
• Provide general support to the store, e.g. set up special events, organize backroom, markdowns, and relocate store fixtures

Requirements

• A high level of ownership, accountability and initiative
• Success working in a fast‑paced environment, able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to use a variety of technology and new computer applications
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Standard physical requirements: continuous movement for 6‑8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching; frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling; handle bulky/awkward items, reaching and lifting above the head; regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

$18.85 - $19.65 Hourly

At Nordstrom, the commission most selling employees receive varies based on the merchandise they sell. Apparel, shoes, and accessories sales typically range from 3% to 14.5%. The commission Beauty and Men’s Fragrance sales roles typically receive is 3%.
