Seasonal Retail Sales - Holiday Gift Shop - The Woodlands

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for both in‑store and digital selling, using tools such as text and social media.
• Build lasting relationships with customers and provide service on their terms.
• Provide honest and confident feedback to customers about style and fit.
• Seek fashion and product knowledge to build expertise.
• Work with the team to keep the department “customer ready,” including filling orders, stocking, re‑merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning.
• Grow relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
• Flexibly perform duties in other departments as business needs require.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Handling bulky or awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 lb and occasionally up to 25 lb.

Pay

The hourly wage range is $18.50 – $19.25. Commission varies by merchandise: apparel, shoes, and accessories typically range from 3% to 14.5%, while beauty and men’s fragrance sales generally receive a 3% commission.
