Seasonal Retail Sales - Holiday Gift Shop - Mayfair

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for both in‑store and digital selling, utilizing selling tools such as text and social media.
• Build lasting relationships with customers and provide service on their terms.
• Offer honest, confident feedback about style and fit.
• Continuously seek fashion and product knowledge to deepen expertise.
• Maintain a customer‑ready department by filling orders, stocking, re‑merchandising, applying price markdowns, and performing light cleaning.
• Grow relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
• Flexibly perform duties in other departments as business needs require.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6‑8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent hand use for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Handling bulky or awkwardly shaped items, including reaching overhead.
• Regularly lift items up to 10 lb; occasionally lift items up to 25 lb.

Schedule

The hours and schedule vary weekly depending on business needs, and the role requires flexibility to work a schedule based on those needs.

Pay

Hourly rate: $18.50 – $19.25 (rates may differ by location). Commission varies by merchandise category: apparel, shoes, and accessories typically range from 3 % to 14.5 %; beauty and men’s fragrance sales typically receive 3 % commission. Performance‑based incentives/bonuses may also be available.
