As a Seasonal Retail Consultant, you will be at the heart of delivering exceptional customer experiences by introducing and selling Aesop’s products through genuine, personalized conversations. The ideal candidate is passionate about the brand’s values, customer-focused, commercially driven, and eager to contribute to a dynamic retail environment while committing to personal growth.

This is a contract position with an end date of January 16, 2027. Candidates must be available between November 1 and January 16, 2027, with full availability required on specific weekend dates. Vacation will not be accommodated during this period.

Responsibilities

• Customer Experience:
  • Connect with customers through storytelling and understand their needs to recommend products that fit their lifestyle.
  • Craft a personalized customer journey, from warm welcome and engagement to thoughtful product demonstrations and regimen building.
  • Confidently lead customers to the sink or fragrance area, demonstrating recommended products on their hands or body.
  • Ensure a memorable departure by providing samples, building lasting relationships, and inviting customers to return.
  • Embody Aesop’s values in all actions and seek continuous improvement.
• Retail Essentials:
  • Adhere to Aesop’s grooming guidelines and uphold retail standards to consistently deliver the "five senses" experience.
  • Complete stock, inventory, and store presentation tasks diligently.

Requirements

• Experience working as part of a customer-focused team, ideally within retail or hospitality.
• A keen eye for detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences.
• A merchant mindset that is both customer-focused and commercially driven.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
• A deep passion for selling premium products and excitement for Aesop’s offerings, including skincare and fragrance.
• Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, walk up and down a flight of stairs and/or ladder as necessary, and lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.
