About the Role

As a Retail Associate, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional experiences for customers. You’ll warmly greet and assist customers, provide product recommendations, and maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment. This role is essential in delivering outstanding service and representing the evo brand.

Responsibilities

• Create positive and memorable customer interactions, including providing lessons in product use when applicable.
• Warmly greet customers, offer prompt assistance, and provide product recommendations.
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing customer-facing environments.
• Operate cash registers and process customer payments efficiently.
• Handle will-call orders and manage customer waitlists, communicating estimated wait times.
• Execute store operations tasks, including inventory receiving and processing, ship-from-store, and product restocking.
• Develop technical product knowledge and educate customers about product features to help them find the best gear for their adventures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the retail industry is a plus but not mandatory.
• Willingness to learn about the products and services offered.
• Adaptability, attention to detail, cash handling, communication, conflict resolution, customer service, inventory management, multitasking, product knowledge, and teamwork.
• Embodies, honors, and lives evo’s core values: The Great 8.

Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems is preferred.

Pay

The base wage for this role ranges from $18.15 - $19.58 per hour. Placement within this range depends on skills, experience, and internal pay equity. While the full range is listed, we rarely hire at the top of the range, leaving room for professional and financial growth.

Schedule

This is a seasonal position running from mid-September to mid-February, with the possibility of extension. Weekend and holiday availability is required, including peak periods such as Black Friday (the day after U.S. Thanksgiving) and the weeks leading up to and following Christmas. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
