About the role

As a Retail Store Associate at Duluth Trading Company, you’ll strive to deliver our “Go for WOW!” standard of customer service—treating every customer right and seizing opportunities to create memorable, above-and-beyond experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep familiarity with the Duluth brand and products to provide solution-oriented, friendly service.
• Center every interaction—from greeting to fitting room to checkout—around personalized customer care.
• Communicate current sales and promotions clearly and effectively.
• Capture customer emails as part of the sales and service process.
• Proactively resolve customer concerns with positive, empowered solutions.
• Answer telephones courteously, providing store greetings, directions, and processing orders.
• Assist in receiving, processing, and replenishing merchandise.
• Maintain merchandising, presentation, and display standards to keep the sales floor customer-ready.
• Uphold company cleanliness standards for the sales floor, stockroom, restrooms, cash wrap, and hospitality area.
• Process register transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices.
• Perform additional duties as directed by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Customer-centric mindset with pride in delivering quality work and ownership of store success.
• Operates with integrity and trust.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Collaborative team player.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Environmental Factors

• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting—both below the waist and above the shoulders.
• Frequent use of repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reaching with hands and arms.
• Frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
• Push/pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50–85 degrees, particularly in stockroom areas.
• Use of a computer for up to 60% of the workday.

Pay

$14.00 – $14.50/hour. Compensation is based on location, experience, and qualifications.
