Duties and Areas of Responsibilities

• Operate piler controls
• Dump trucks efficiently
• Keep piler centered on the piling strip
• Aid personnel and foreman in machine maintenance and repair
• Perform regular piler inspections and report suspected defects
• Notify Agriculturalist if loads are not suitable for storage

Required Skills

• General mechanical knowledge of hydraulic systems, sprockets, belts, bearings, chains, and electrical systems
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain maximum performance on piler
• Adhere to all safety and housekeeping protocol
• Use a shovel, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds

Boom Operator

• Maintain stacker height according to the Agriculturalist’s instructions
• Move the stacker left and right for proper pile fill
• Obtain samples

Required Skills

• Ability to lift 20-26 pounds throughout a 12 hour shift
• Adhere to all safety and housekeeping protocol
• Never allow mud to build up on dirt belt head and tail pulleys
• Notify the Piler Operator of an upcoming piler move
• Use a shovel, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds

Oiler

• Grease piler as needed
• Oil piler chains as needed
• Aid with piler maintenance and repairs

Scale House Operator

• Operate scale equipment to record various shareholder information
• Weigh trucks
• Print tickets
• Obtain and file necessary information including tickets, truck registrations, and daily reports

• Communicate with shareholders and employees relating to receiving station operation
• Handle multiple tasks
• Adhere to all safety and housekeeping protocol
• Have great attention to detail
