Seasonal Lab Technician (FT)

Job Summary

The Soils Laboratory Technician will support the Soils laboratory by preparing and analyzing samples, following methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures, operating and maintaining scientific equipment, documenting activities, and assisting with inventory management.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and analyze samples for a wide variety of testing procedures
• Follow outlined methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures for the tests assigned
• Learn to operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation
• Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner
• Assist group leaders and analysts in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of laboratory equipment and areas
• Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of analytical methods, instruments, general lab practices, and lab safety
• Willingness and ability to work Day Shift (generally 8 am - 6 pm)
