Description
The Seasonal Pottery Quality Control Inspector inspects blanks and finished goods to ensure they meet the company's high-quality specifications and standards. They record results and communicate findings to relevant personnel.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect blanks for quality defects and record pass/fail on KLR reports.
Inspect pottery finished goods and record pass/repairs/fail on KLR reports and related codes for reasons of failure.
Move passed products to their proper destinations: blanks to the decal/luster department, components to warehouse, stand-alone items to packing, and lop-level SKUs to the dock for transportation to Auburn Distribution.
Communicate with the Product Manager on standards for pass/fail and quality issues to production managers and leads.
Record daily results on an Excel spreadsheet and forward them to production managers and supervisors.
Cross-train received goods inspectors to serve as backup during vacations and absences.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Previous quality control experience
Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and report generation
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to maintain accurate records and data files
Strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously

Equipment used: computer, printer, telephone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner, calculator, Microsoft Office, and Made2Manage
Physical and mental requirements: ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions

Work is performed in a typical office environment with no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
