About the role

Responsibilities
- Attendants: Collection of revenue from fees and permits, and cash/credit card handling duties.
- Concessions: Sale of location specific items, handling cash/credit payments, collection of fees & permits, and inventory reporting.
- Housekeepers: Regular deep cleaning of restrooms, showers, and other property buildings.
- Laborers: Various duties based on property needs, such as landscaping, mowing, firewood processing, structure maintenance, sign creation, trail upkeep, carpentry, and plumbing.
- Office Assistants: Answering inquiries about the property and providing quality customer service to park visitors, assisting with operations and administrative functions.
- Clerks: Performing a wide variety of tasks to support property staff, including inventory, stocking, reporting, budgeting, and assisting with other administrative duties.
- Security Officers: Monitoring visitor activities, enforcing regulations, and providing security to facilities, construction sites, and logging operations.
- DOC Crew Supervisors: Monitoring Department of Corrections work release crew activities and participating in labor duties as needed, providing transportation for the crew.
- Shooting Range Officers (Brookville Lake Only): Monitoring visitor activities, providing quality customer service and education on safe gun handling, enforcing shooting range standard operating procedures, and performing basic maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or one (1) year of work experience.
- Ability to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- May be required to wear a DNR-provided uniform.
- May be required to travel to different properties.
- May experience working in potentially inclement weather.
- May work with DOC work release crews.
- May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
- May work in a variety of different environments, including an office environment, field environment, rugged terrain, and various adverse weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, sleet, etc.).
- May work around potentially dangerous heavy equipment (e.g. tractors, disks, mowers, planters, etc.).
Benefits
This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
