Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and organize recreational programs and activities in a summer camp setting.
- Help campers have fun with swimming, field trips, games, activities, crafts, and adventures.
- Teach new sports skills, build on existing skills, and promote teamwork.
- Help campers learn about the Earth, science, nature, and explore the great outdoors.
- Encourage creativity and help campers create masterpieces using various media.
Requirements
- Able to work with children aged 3 and older.
- Enthusiastic attitude.
- Well-organized and able to plan and promote a wide variety of youth activities.
- Customer service-oriented and able to communicate effectively with the public.
- Two years of related work experience preferred, along with leadership experience and/or training.
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic and creative.
- Assertive and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to enforce and adhere to City of Kettering Parks Recreation and Cultural Arts policies and guidelines.
- Capable of carrying out assigned responsibilities as directed by the Coordinator, Supervisor, or designee.

Pay
Pay range is $11.40 per hour to $13.80 per hour. Entry rate is contingent upon candidate's related skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Schedule
Seasonal and part-time employees have a flexible schedule.
Certification
The City will cover the cost of certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or lifeguard credentials where applicable, helping employees get trained and ready to work without paying out of pocket.
