About the role
Nortera is North America's leader in ready-to-cook vegetables, dedicated to contributing to the well-being of society through access to healthy and sustainable food. We produce major private and retail brands and market our own brand Arctic Gardens.
Responsibilities
- Operate the production line and support equipment
- Perform line set-ups and changeovers as needed
- Lead and guide production associates working on the production line
- Follow production plan while minimizing the risk of downtime, wasted product, and supplies
- Complete line inspections and applicable related paperwork
- Responsible for process and quality procedures for the line operated
- Work with the supervisor to achieve daily productivity and recovery goals
- Help produce the highest quality of finished product
- Adhere to all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety
- Report any food safety, health & safety, and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary
- Support onboarding and training of new employees as needed
- Other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Requirements
- No experience required, open to training
- Ability to work seasonally - any time between June and November
- *60-84/week with *OT over 40 hours
