About the role
The Seasonal Pool Manager supports the Y, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area.
- Ensures personal safety for individuals using the aquatic facilities and surrounding area through preventative methods.
- Maintains records as required (attendance, progress reports, etc.) and completes incident and accident reports, as necessary.
- Supervises aquatic staff to ensure that all standards and safety requirements are met.
- Maintains pool/s according to all applicable standards.
- Counsels and trains new employees.
- Assists in maintaining cleanliness and order of the pool area.
- Enforces all pool rules, regulations, and policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a pool environment preferred.
- Ability to swim.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately.
Skills
- Customer service skills.
- First aid and CPR certification preferred.
