Seasonal Pool Manager

About the role

The Seasonal Pool Manager supports the Y, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area.
• Ensures personal safety for individuals using the aquatic facilities and surrounding area through preventative methods.
• Maintains records as required (attendance, progress reports, etc.) and completes incident and accident reports, as necessary.
• Supervises aquatic staff to ensure that all standards and safety requirements are met.
• Maintains pool/s according to all applicable standards.
• Counsels and trains new employees.
• Assists in maintaining cleanliness and order of the pool area.
• Enforces all pool rules, regulations, and policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a pool environment preferred.
• Ability to swim.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately.

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• First aid and CPR certification preferred.
