Seasonal Pool Bartender - Part Time

About the Role

The Pool Bartender at Omni Louisville Hotel will provide efficient, friendly customer service while maintaining a clean and professional appearance. This role ensures guests are satisfied promptly and contributes to a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere with downtown Louisville as the backdrop.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate needs, and respond to inquiries or requests.
• Maintain full knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Monitor and maintain bar cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Provide silverware and condiments prior to food service at the bar area.
• Clean and reset the bar area as guests depart or after drink preparation.
• Perform proper bar setup and breakdown, including triple sink procedures.
• Communicate professionally with management, kitchen staff, and serving staff.
• Contribute to a workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with a diverse Front of House and Back of House team.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service by adhering to legal requirements, including carding and monitoring consumption.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders, record transactions in the Micros system, and maintain guest tabs.
• Process payments promptly and monitor inventory pars.
• Sell and upsell products in a fast-paced team environment.
• Work outdoors as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of bartending experience; high-volume and casual environment preferred.
• Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge.
• Strong communication skills.
• Wine, beer, and spirits knowledge.
• Unexpired Food Handlers and STAR certifications—or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
