About the role
As a piece-work housekeeper, you will professionally clean and maintain a portfolio of vacation rental properties, ensuring every surface sparkles. This includes creating welcoming environments by handling laundry, restocking amenities, maintaining hot tubs (training provided), and identifying any maintenance needs or damages. The position runs from June 2026 to September 2026 and is ideal for someone who takes pride in attention to detail and wants to directly impact guests' vacation experiences.
Responsibilities
- Professionally clean and maintain vacation rental properties using company-standard procedures and products.
- Perform sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and washing all surfaces.
- Move reasonably portable furniture to clean under and behind.
- Assist with laundry and linen as needed.
- Identify and note any damages or needed repairs to homes.
- Collect and remove trash and debris.
- Attend all mandatory individual and team meetings.
- Replenish consumable items such as soaps and paper products.
- Maintain hot tubs as needed (training provided).
Requirements
- Experience in hotel, hospitality, vacation, or similar industry is preferred but not required.
- Prior housekeeping experience is a bonus but not required—training is available.
- Tech-savvy with experience using digital systems, mobile apps, tablets, and software platforms.
- Reliable personal transportation is essential for frequent travel between worksites.
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor settings, often in changing weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on guest and homeowner needs.
- Ability to move freely (balancing, climbing, crawling, driving, squatting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Pay
- Piece rate: $36–$225 per unit (average of $81 per unit).
- $18–$20 per hour for paid training, required meetings, and non-post-reservation cleans.
