Seasonal Piece Work Housekeeper
About the role
The piece work housekeeper will professionally clean and maintain a portfolio of vacation rental properties, performing thorough cleaning to ensure every surface sparkles. The position involves creating welcoming environments by handling laundry, restocking amenities, maintaining hot tubs (training provided), and identifying any maintenance needs or damages. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in attention to detail and wants to directly impact guests' vacation experiences by delivering pristine, comfortable homes. The position runs from June 2026 to September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Professionally clean and maintain a portfolio of vacation rental properties using cleaning procedures and products in conformance with prescribed company standards.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, and wash all surfaces.
- Move all reasonably portable furniture in rooms to clean under and behind.
- Assist with laundry and linen as needed.
- Identify and note any damages or needed repairs to homes.
- Collect and remove trash and debris.
- Attend all mandatory individual and team meetings.
- Replenish consumable items such as soaps and paper products.
- Maintain hot tubs as needed (training provided).
Requirements
- Experience working in hotel, hospitality, vacation, or similar industry is preferred but not required.
- Prior housekeeping experience is a bonus but not required—training is provided.
- Tech-savvy with experience using digital systems, mobile apps, tablets, and software platforms.
- Reliable personal transportation is essential for frequent travel between worksites.
- Ability to move freely (balancing, climbing, crawling, driving, squatting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger motions).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Pay
- Piece rate ranging between $36 and $225 per unit (average of $81 per unit).
- $18–20 per hour for paid training, required meetings, and non-post reservation cleans.

Schedule
Work may take place indoors or outdoors in varying settings, including private homes, resorts, offices, and laundry facilities, often in changing weather conditions. Schedules can shift based on guest and homeowner needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is required to support these demands.
