Seasonal Part-Time RedZone Production Assistant

The NFL Media Group located in Inglewood, CA is looking for a seasonal, part-time NFL RedZone Production Assistant. This position will report to the Coordinating Producer for NFL RedZone. Responsibilities Work closely with editors to support content for NFL RedZoneResponsible for watching a game and producing multiple highlights for NFL RedZone halftime fill segmentsTranscribing interviews, press conferences, and other related sound to be edited for NFL RedZoneTake direction from show Producers to enhance content on NFL RedZoneMust be able to respond quickly under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities while NFL RedZone is live on airGood communication and writing skills are requiredDaily adherence to established production schedules to meet deadlinesResponsible for archiving important video, teleprompting shows and other various tasks related to the production of NFL RedZone Required Qualifications Strong NFL knowledge (present day & historical)Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail/organizational skillsAbility to decipher the most important and up-to-date information for NFL stories & live game action during NFL RedZoneStrong understanding of workflows in control rooms and edit environmentsStrong writing skillsHave a good knowledge of the NFL and sports historyAbility to perform basic statistical and info-based research Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or equivalent experience in a related field Previous professional experience in a TV production environment is strongly preferredBasic understanding of linear editing and on-air graphics systems Other Key Attributes / Characteristics Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects at once and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to establish open communication and perform well under pressureA team-first attitude is mandatory Terms / Expected Hours of Work Sunday availability from 7:30am to 4:30pmOvertime may be required on any given NFL RedZone SundaySeasonal employment up to 7 months Salary / Pay Range This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified.
