Essential Functions

  • Must be able to follow instructions and work well with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily assignments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills both verbally and written
  • Able to meet deadlines under pressure situations
  • Strong football knowledge and awareness of NFL events and stories, ability to quickly identify players and coaches
  • Familiar with utilizing social media for content gathering
  • Comfortable with proactive outreach via phone, social media or email
  • Experience in copy-editing preferred
  • Knowledge of Premiere or Adobe a plus
  • Knowledge of Tagboard a plus

Required Education and Experience

  • 4-year degree or equivalent education
  • 1+ years in a newsroom or journalism environment

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Previous professional experience in TV Production environment is strongly preferred.

  • Must have strong editorial skills and NFL knowledge to know what video and soundbites are best to edit
  • Must be able to respond quickly on short deadlines
  • Must be able to respond positively to criticism
  • A team attitude is mandatory in all tasks requested from the smallest to largest

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • 30 hours or less a week over a 7-month period
  • May include weekend shifts
  • Part-time, non-exempt
  • This is an in-office position – no remote work

Salary / Pay Range

About the Role

The NFL Digital Media team is seeking a Seasonal Part-Time Digital Content Desk Assistant who is tasked with assisting the NFL Media Assignment Desk in all phases of the newsgathering process for digital content. This role requires working with others at various levels on the assignment desk. The role will work closely with NFL.com editorial staff as well as ticker operators and content producers.
