About the role

In this position, you will assist with the maintenance of medians, rights-of-way, and parks for either Briargate, Norwood, or Stetson Hills SIMD.

Responsibilities

  • Mow, trim, weed, aerate, seed, top dress, edge, and rake
  • Maintain and repair irrigation systems
  • Pick up trash

Requirements

  • Have landscape or facility maintenance experience
  • Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver’s license not subject to restrictions

Qualifications

  • Experience working with irrigation systems
  • Specialized training in landscaping or grounds maintenance

Skills

  • Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment such as trucks, trailers, riding and push mowers, and tractors
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools

Benefits

Approximate dates of employment will be May through September. Total hours worked will not exceed 1,500 annually. This is a seasonal (at-will) position with benefits limited to those required by applicable state and federal laws, which include Worker's Compensation, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and PERA (Public Employees' Retirement Association).

Pay

Salary $15.16 - $21.00 Hourly

Schedule

Normal hours worked will be Monday through Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Schedule may include some weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands

The ability to stand, sit, stoop, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 60 pounds occasionally is also required.

Environmental Conditions

This position requires working outside in all weather conditions and along high traffic areas.
