Seasonal Packaging Operator - 3rd Shift (East Plant)

About the role

At Scotts Miracle-Gro, we help people express themselves on their own piece of the Earth. This role is located at the Marysville Manufacturing Plant, producing high-quality lawn fertilizer products.

Responsibilities

• Work actively on production lines to manufacture and package high-quality fertilizer products.
• Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts (experience preferred, but we will train).
• Maintain strict adherence to standard operating procedures to ensure daily safety and quality standards are met.
• Comfortably navigate a physical workspace, which includes being on your feet, climbing multiple flights of stairs, getting on and off equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Work comfortably in a variety of indoor manufacturing environments, including hot, cold, and humid conditions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1+ years of production plant experience and forklift operation experience is preferred, but not required.
• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and basic mathematical skills.
• Attributes: Dependable, safety-focused, and excels in a team-driven environment.

Compensation & Hours

• Hourly rates range from $21.00 - $22.00 per hour, with overtime available.
• Shifts vary by department, but standard hours are: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
• Mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays, is required during the busiest peak season from October through March.

Candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug screening prior to their first day of work.
