Starting hourly rate: $16.00 USD per hour.

About the role

Seasonal roles at Target fall into three main categories:

• Seasonal Specialty Sales Roles: A sales force of specialized consultants who provide tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket.
• Seasonal Service & Engagement: Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery.
• Seasonal General Merchandise & Food Sales: Experts of operations, process, and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor.

These roles provide meaningful experiences that help build and develop skills for a career, including:

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and supporting a guest-first culture.
• Experience in retail business fundamentals: department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency.
• Experience executing daily/weekly workloads to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Skill in resolving guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.

Requirements

• Accurately handle cash register operations.
• Climb up and down ladders.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays) and regular attendance.
