About the role

Target’s seasonal positions include Specialty Sales, Service & Engagement, and General Merchandise & Food Sales roles. These positions focus on delivering personalized product suggestions, creating engaging visual merchandising, ensuring product availability and accurate pricing, and providing exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket.
• Welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery.
• Ensure products are set, in‑stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor to enable a consistent guest experience.
• Support a guest‑first culture across the store and apply knowledge of guest service fundamentals.
• Gain experience in retail business fundamentals: department sales trends, inventory management, process efficiency and improvement.
• Execute daily/weekly workloads to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.
• Perform role‑specific duties as a Seasonal Guest Advocate, General Merchandise Expert, Fulfillment Expert, Style Consultant, Inbound Expert, Food & Beverage Expert, or Tech Consultant.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with regular attendance.
• Capable of lifting and moving merchandise up to 40 pounds.
• Accurately handle cash register operations.
• Climb up and down ladders as needed.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $18.00 USD per hour. Pay range: $18.00 – $27.00 USD per hour.
