Seasonal Operations Associate - Rockaway Town Square

About the role

Do you like working with your hands and staying active? Do the words “order” and “process” get you excited? Do you enjoy making things happen behind the scenes and seeing your work flourish in a store? A Seasonal Operations Associate’s role is to create an outstanding customer experience by performing operations functions within the store. This is an early morning position; you will work with the task team to perform functions prior to store opening. As a seasonal hire you will have a defined employment time period, but you may be offered an extension or regular position based on your work ethic and availability.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide fast, friendly assistance to customers who approach you while you’re working throughout the store.
• Executes pricing and signing: Update ticket prices and signage on merchandise quickly and accurately.
• Replenish and restock the store: Monitor stock levels and pull merchandise from the backroom to ensure the sales floor is fully stocked with the styles and sizes customers need.
• Receive and unload merchandise: Work with co-workers to unload inbound trucks and prepare merchandise in the backroom.
• Backroom standards: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized stockroom.
• On-line jcp.com pick up: Locate and fulfill orders placed online for in-store pickup.
• Merchandise strategy: Execute leadership’s floor-placement plans with efficiency and attention to detail, upholding merchandising standards to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Participates in a learning environment: Absorb new information from peers or training materials about merchandise or business processes.

For paid holidays, associates who are eligible for paid vacation (MTO) are also eligible for eight paid holidays during the calendar year.
