Seasonal Nurse

About the Role

Provides direct and indirect patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassion to deliver high-quality care, respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritizes care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.
• Administer prescribed medications safely.
• Provide age-appropriate care and assist with self-care activities.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans.
• Perform treatments and procedures using nursing knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive patient care.
• Assist physicians with procedures requiring manual skills.
• Address psychosocial needs and coordinate with social services for discharge planning.
• Implement cost-effective practices and manage supplies efficiently.
• Prioritize patient safety and promote a safe care environment.
• Commit to ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant unit or specialty.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Computer literacy.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS/PALS certifications.
