Seasonal Nurse

About the role

Provides direct and indirect patient care in various settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to restore health while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritizes care, with flexibility to handle additional tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses patients based on their medical condition.
• Administers medications as prescribed and provides age-appropriate care.
• Develops and evaluates patient and family teaching plans.
• Utilizes nursing knowledge for treatments and procedures.
• Communicates effectively with team members and assists physicians with procedures.
• Addresses psychosocial needs and coordinates post-discharge care with social services.
• Practices cost-effective resource management.
• Prioritizes patient safety and promotes a safe care environment.
• Engages in ongoing professional learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the relevant unit or specialty area.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Computer literacy is required.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS/PALS preferred.
