Seasonal Maintenance Assistant

About the role

The City of Bangor at Bangor International Airport is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Assistant to support airport operations in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with monitoring and adjusting a conveyor belt system
• Opportunities to learn preventive maintenance and basic repair skills
• Schedules: First Shift: Thursday 9:30a to 1:30p, Friday - Monday 8:30a to 12:30p
  Second Shift: Friday - Monday 10:30a to 2:30p, Tuesday 9:30a to 1:30p
• Ability to shift one hour + or - to accommodate peak flight scheduling

Requirements & Working Conditions

• Mechanical or Maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Moderate to heavy physical work (regularly up to 50 lbs., occasionally up to 80 lbs.)
• Frequent bending, stooping, and equipment operation
• Work performed indoors or in covered areas with exposure to noise (protective equipment provided)

Compensation

$15.10/hour

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a background check and physical exam
