About the Role
Rocky Mountain Paddleboard is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Location Manager to lead our team at the Cherry Creek Reservoir. As the primary on-site leader, you will oversee all seasonal staff and daily operations, ensuring every guest has a memorable experience on the water.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Culture: Supervise, train, and support all seasonal staff. Cultivate a work environment that reflects RMP’s values, maintaining consistent enthusiasm and a positive team culture.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily location activities, including opening and closing procedures, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a safe environment for both employees and customers.
- Inventory & Sales: Manage inventory levels, oversee point-of-sale (POS) systems, and handle sales reporting to ensure operational efficiency.
- Scheduling & Labor: Create and manage staff schedules to meet business demands while controlling labor costs.
- Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for Cherry Creek Reservoir rangers and staff, maintaining positive and professional working relationships with city entities.
- Business Growth: Proactively seek out opportunities for improvement and growth at all levels of operation, from customer service enhancements to operational efficiencies.
- Communication: Maintain regular, open communication with the General Manager and management team to ensure standard operating procedures are followed and company-wide goals are met.
Requirements
- Lifting: Ability to lift 45+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day, including overhead lifting to load and unload paddleboards from racks.
- Standing: Capability to stand for 4–6 hours at a time while organizing watercraft and assisting guests.
- Communication: Must be able to clearly and audibly deliver paddling instructions, safety briefings, and guidance to groups of up to 20+ guests.
- Guest Service: Ability to properly size and fit guests with life jackets (PFDs), paddles, and watercraft.
- Environmental: Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (rain or shine) without air conditioning.
- Technical: Competence in using a tablet to operate reservation and point-of-sale systems. You will also be pulling sales and labor reports to ensure your location is meeting their KPIs.
Qualifications
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team with a positive and encouraging approach.
- Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on creating a welcoming guest experience.
- Certification: Valid CPR and First Aid certification is required prior to the start date.
