Clarke of Roselle, IL is seeking a seasonal Light Trap Foreman to support our mosquito surveillance operations. This role blends technical skills, fieldwork, and public health impact, focusing on the maintenance, setup, and troubleshooting of mosquito monitoring equipment while providing general assistance to the surveillance team.

Responsibilities
- Travel to mosquito trap locations throughout local communities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair mosquito surveillance traps using mechanical and technical skills
- Assist with seasonal setup in the spring and removal of the trap network in the fall
- Inspect traps in the field and identify equipment requiring maintenance or repair
- Perform repair work, including rewiring, soldering, and other basic electrical fixes
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure traps are functioning properly
- Provide operational support to the mosquito surveillance staff
- Assist with route coverage and trap collections as needed
- Use a company-provided smartphone for navigation, communication, and recording daily work
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail in equipment maintenance and data accuracy
- Support supervisors with a variety of tasks throughout the mosquito season
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to make simple repairs to mosquito traps
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver’s License with an excellent driving record
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently
- High school degree or equivalent with high school level math skills
- Effective communication in English, both written and verbal
- Comfortable walking on uneven terrain
- Able to work through the end of the season (September/October)
- Adhere to company’s jewelry policy
Schedule
- Monday - Friday; 7:00am – 3:30pm (hours may vary)
- Full-time seasonal position (generally May through the end of September)

$16/hr
