About the role

The Vineta Hotel, situated in the heart of Palm Beach, is a historic Mediterranean Revival property dating back to 1926, recently restored and set to reopen as the first US hotel in the Oetker Hotels portfolio. Located two blocks from Worth Avenue, the hotel offers an elegant, artistic setting amid renowned restaurants, boutiques, and galleries. As a Restaurant Host-Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, greeting and seating them, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive first impression and a seamless luxury dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive at the restaurant, making them feel valued and appreciated to ensure a personal and memorable dining experience.
• Ensure a smooth and efficient flow of guests into the dining area, communicate waiting times and seating arrangements, and collaborate with servers and management to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Maintain awareness of special events, such as birthdays or anniversaries, and ensure these guests are recognized during their visit.
• Manage guest reservations in person or over the phone by maintaining the reservation book or using the restaurant's reservation system, providing guests with information about the restaurant, estimated wait times, while ensuring accurate and timely seating.
• Coordinate with management to accommodate large parties, special requests, or VIP guests, optimizing seating arrangements to ensure that the dining room is efficiently utilized, balancing customer flow and server workload.
