Seasonal Groundskeeper

About the role

Join the Detroit Pistons as a Seasonal Groundskeeper and play an important role in maintaining and enhancing Palace Sports & Entertainment properties, venues, and grounds, including iconic venues such as Pine Knob, Meadow Brook Amphitheatre, and Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill. You will support overall grounds maintenance and post-event cleanup efforts to ensure our facilities remain clean, safe, and event-ready.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaping, parking lots, sidewalks, and stairways across multiple properties.
• Remove debris and trash following games, concerts, and special events.
• Assist the Conversions team with daily operations and event-related needs.
• Transport fleet vehicles to and from repair facilities as needed.
• Support Physical Plant staff with maintenance projects and operational tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to bend, walk facilities, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, wind, snow, and rain.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
