Seasonal Grain Scale Operator

This is a full-time seasonal position.

Schedule

Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours. Additional hours are mandatory during peak seasons, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service skills at all times when greeting and servicing customers.
• Manage inbound and outbound grain shipments for customers coming across the truck scale.
• Grade grain and identify foreign materials.
• Record test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
• Perform required record keeping for trucking weighing and accurate grading activities.
• Coordinate delivery numbers, daily inputs, and verification of accuracy.
• Operate on-scale interface system and transfer of data.
• Respond to customer inquiries at the counter.
• Assist with other office functions as needed.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
