Vision for the Role

The General Store Clerk plays a vital role in fostering a supportive and fun atmosphere at camp by helping provide snacks, drinks, souvenirs, and basic supplies for campers and guests at Hume’s General Store. This individual provides general help and assistance in providing quality products and customer service with a joyful and servant-hearted demeanor.

The Role

• Duties include cashiering, stocking shelves, maintaining organization and cleanliness of the store, and answering questions about products.
• Follow all safety procedures and directions provided by supervisors.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a Christ-centered team environment.
• Represent Hume Christian Camps’ values and mission through conduct, attitude, and service

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, frequently lift 25 pounds, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions of the job
• Live and work in extreme weather conditions, at high altitude, and in small living quarters
