Responsibilities
- Wetland and water resource delineation and characterization.
- Botanical surveys, habitat mapping, endangered species assessments.
- Prepare wetland delineation and technical reports for clients/regulators.
- Support environmental permitting and compliance for federal/state requirements.
- Data management and analysis.
- Possible wildlife surveys and ecological restoration tasks.
Capabilities and Credentials
- Team player and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and note-taking skills.
- Familiarity with computers, technical report writing, and sub-meter GPS units and field mapping software (Field Maps and Survey123, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication and team collaboration.
- Ability to manage risks and safety, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize, and balance heavy workloads.
- Work well with others and keep team members informed of project and client needs.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree; 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with plant, soil, and wetland identification and characterization in the region.
- Preference given to those who have experience delineating wetlands according to US Army Corps of Engineers Manual and the corresponding Regional Supplements as well as completing state specific stream and wetland assessments.
- Willingness to travel (up to 75%) and work in the field for long hours in adverse weather conditions.
Pay
Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas: $49,100.00 - $68,700.00 Annually
