Seasonal Driver - CDL Class A or B

About the role

Strange Trip Inc. is hiring dependable and professional CDL Class A, B, or C seasonal drivers to support our growing team during the holiday peak season. Hazmat endorsement is required if you hold a CDL Class C. You'll run a dedicated local route departing around 3:30 AM – 5:30 AM from Piscataway, NJ. The work involves touch freight - scanning, loading, and unloading boxes for final-mile and dedicated shipper customers. Customer expectations are high, so we're looking for drivers who are punctual, careful, and detail-oriented, and who take pride in doing the job right.

Responsibilities

• Operate new diesel and electric box trucks maintained under a strict preventative maintenance program.
• Run dedicated local routes departing early morning (3:30 AM – 5:30 AM) from Piscataway, NJ, returning home daily.
• Perform touch freight duties: scanning, loading, and unloading boxes for final-mile and dedicated shipper customers.
• Maintain punctuality, careful handling, and attention to detail to meet high customer expectations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and safety team.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure equipment care.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A, B, or C license.
• Clean MVR and criminal background.
• Prior truck-driving experience strongly preferred.
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, and punctuality.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to safety, customer service, and equipment care.
• Availability and flexibility throughout the holiday peak season.
• Hazmat endorsement required if holding a CDL Class C license.

Pay

• Regular route pay of $225 – $315 per day worked, depending on the lane.
• Paid training with an experienced driver provided.

Schedule

• Guaranteed scheduled shifts from Thanksgiving through New Year's (holiday peak season).
• Multiple shifts and schedules available throughout the peak season.
• After New Year's, potential to remain with Strange Trip Inc. as an on-call driver based on company needs and driver performance.
• Dedicated local routes departing early morning, home daily, Monday through Sunday.
