Seasonal - Denison on Ice Associate

Essential Functions

• Affords assistance with setup before operation.
• Provides friendly, pleasant service to patrons.
• Accurately inventories supplies at open and close.
• Accurately processes payments and tenders change as needed.
• Ensures all payments are well accounted for and stored properly.
• Ensures all participants fill out liability waivers.
• Issue skates to participants and clean and organize the skates upon return.
• Assist in the enforcement of skating rules and procedures.
• Informs supervisor of needed supplies or repairs.
• Performs duties in a safe manner and in compliance with policies, procedures, work and safety rules and the employee handbook.
• Restocks, cleans equipment, sanitizes equipment, removes trash, and sweeps throughout the shift.
• Works special events as needed.
• Accurately records time worked.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of customer service practices.
• Knowledge and skill in basic cash handling processes.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to understand and follow simple oral and/or written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff.
• Ability to follow directions.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma/GED.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.

Physical & Work Environment

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and during inclement weather when required.
• Must be prepared to engage patrons to establish a positive experience at Denison on Ice.
• Frequent amounts of walking and standing.
• Ability to lift and/or carry objects up to 1-50 pounds.
• Occasionally required to squat, kneel and crawl as job requires.
• Frequently required to bend, climb, reach above head or below shoulder level.
• Always in proper, presentable, approved work attire.
