Seasonal Cutter Operator - 2nd Shift St Cloud

6-month seasonal position, 2nd shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 pm–10:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate string extruders and string cutters in the production area.
• Maintain high food-quality and food-safety standards.
• Operate RDS System and brine flume to maintain temperature and salinity.
• Report brine system, string extruders, and brine chiller issues to production and maintenance departments.
• Set up and inspect work area for cleanliness and readiness.
• Operate string cutters and frequently monitor extruded cheese to ensure proper weight and length specifications.
• Maintain and document daily cutter operations log.
• Communicate with packaging department about products and product flow.
• Communicate with production about products, product flow, product quality, and/or concerns.
• Communicate with lab tech to maintain proper product size.
• Work with sanitation to disassemble mixers, mixer pipes, string extruders, and store end-of-day product.
• Add salt to the brine system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED/HSED required; minimally enrolled with anticipated completion in 12 months or less.
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willingness to complete forklift certification upon hire.
• Ability to learn and carry out lock-out/tag-out procedures as required.
• Ability to occasionally lift 10–80 lbs.
