Responsibilities
- Leads or performs Computed Tomography Imaging according to protocols established for various age groups of patients, requiring minimal supervision.
- Performs a variety of procedures for CT, including basic portable, fluoroscopy, extremity and chest x-rays.
- Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures, as required.
- Serves as resource person, assists work schedule, interdepartmental committee lead, assist with policy, protocol and QA program development, and ensures proper safety protocols are followed.
- Affords assistance in orienting, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining and assigning work to employees.
- Assesses the age-specific needs of the patients.
- Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the specific division being hired into and deemed competent to work independently.
- Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) as a Radiation Therapy (RT), Nuclear Medicine (NM), or Radiography (R).
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) CT Registry required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association.
Qualifications
- One (1) year progressive responsibility within a CT diagnostic imaging department.
