SEASONAL CLERK

About the role
This is a non-tenured, intermittent Seasonal Clerk position located at the Peace Officer Selection and Employee Development – Office of Peace Officer Selection (POSED – OPOS) on N Blythe Ave, Fresno County. The position is subject to hiring freeze and/or budget approval.
Applicants who receive public assistance under the CalWORKs program shall be given hiring priority consideration as provided in GC, Section 19063. Applicants must identify themselves as CalWORKs recipients in the comments section of the STD 678 application and submit verification of CalWORKs eligibility.

Requirements
- Meet the Minimum Qualifications listed in the Class Specification (JC-527153).
- Education verification: Unofficial transcripts/diploma required if meeting qualifications through education. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment.
- Foreign education: Must obtain and submit U.S. course/degree equivalency verification from a NACES-approved service.
- Background investigation: Required for new CDCR/CCHCS hires, including Live Scan Fingerprinting and Tuberculosis test/evaluation (annual testing thereafter).
- E-Verify: CDCR/CCHCS utilizes E-Verify to confirm identity and employment authorization (www.e-verify.gov).
- Confidential information: Do not include SSN, birthdate, student ID, driver’s license number (unless required), or other confidential details on application documents.
Pay
$3,167.00 - $3,570.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
