Expectations
- Demonstrate expert level of clerical skills, i.e., computer skills, keyboarding, emails, Word and Excel
- Must be able to work accurately and independently in a fast-paced office
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must project a positive image and maintain professionalism under difficult conditions
- Work hours: 2 people work 7:30am to 4:00pm and 2 work 8am - 4:30pm
- Flexible hours are possible
- Work dates: July 27th - Sept 25th
- If transportation needs slow, assignment could end in early September
Dress Code
- Employees represent the District to our students, parents and the public.
- The District expects every employee’s appearance to be consistent with the high standards we set for ourselves as a District.
- Employees are expected to present a well-groomed, professional appearance and to practice good personal hygiene.
- The District expects that all employees are neat, clean, and wear appropriate dress for work that is in good taste and suitable for the job at hand.
- The District will not tolerate dress or attire from school employees that the principal or supervisor considers disruptive, inappropriate, or which adversely affects the educational atmosphere.
- The following examples could be considered inappropriate manner of dress:
- Wind or track suits, unless job related
- Off-the-shoulder, backless or halter tops or shirts with spaghetti straps
- Flip-flops
- Torn or ripped clothing
- Shorts or skirts of inappropriate length
- Mid-riff or excessively low-cut tops
- Sweatshirts, sweatpants, t-shirts, sleepwear or loungewear
Candidate Requirements
- One (1) year in a general office setting (school office experience preferred)
- Bilingual preferred but not necessary
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work well with constant interruptions and maintain a professional demeanor
- Ability to assist and monitor students in the office
- Ability to make quick and responsible decisions following RUSD policies and procedures
- Ability to prioritize and work independently in a high volume office while being efficient and organized with minimal supervision
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationships skills
- Must be willing and able to learn current District electronic communication systems including, but not limited to, email, distribution lists, directory, attachments, and calendar functions
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Must dress in professional attire
Working Conditions
- Pleasant office environment with multiple responsibilities and frequent interruptions to attend to students, staff and visitor needs.
- May occasionally have to work with difficult or demanding parents/guardians and/or students.
- May have to attend to students who have been referred to the office.

- You are responsible for taking any and all steps necessary to protect yourself and others against occupational accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
