Seasonal Cafe and Retail Associate
About the role
Dandelion Chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolate factory in San Francisco’s Mission District. We make chocolate from only two ingredients—cocoa beans and cane sugar—and travel to origins as often as possible to build good, trusting relationships with the producers who grow and ferment the beans we buy. With the variety of guests, you’ll spend a lot of time discussing our mission, story, and chocolate. Throughout the day, you’ll be restocking our shelves, ringing up guests on the register, and preparing and boxing up orders. In the morning, you may guide guests through the shop and sample out chocolate. In the afternoon, you might be on the register, ringing up guests and ensuring they’ve taken care of everything on their holiday lists by helping them with recommendations. After a deep dive training into our chocolate-making processes and our products, you’ll be ready to jump in and get your hands dirty. We are hiring seasonally at all of our locations: 16th Street, Valencia, Ferry Building, Fillmore Street, Union Street, Chestnut Street Powell Street, and inside the Fairmont Hotel. Some locations have cafes and some do not.
