About the Role
The Boot Fitter engages with customers, primarily one-on-one, addressing their ski boot needs and problems. The role provides expert advice on ski equipment, ensures a proper fit through the boot fitting process, and delivers exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Interface with customers during one-on-one appointments to address ski boot needs and problems.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate ski equipment, including skis, boots, and bindings, based on their needs.
- Conduct the boot fitting process to ensure a proper and comfortable fit.
- Manage and maintain boot lab tools and supplies to support boot fitting services.
- Maintain charts for ski, binding, and boot weights on evo.com to provide accurate information.
- Offer additional assistance as a retail associate, including cleaning, working at the front counter, and applying visual merchandising standards.
- Participate in training sessions and clinics to enhance product knowledge and technical boot fitting skills.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and adheres to evo’s visual merchandising standards.
- Actively participate as a company representative at local community events and volunteer opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work well in a team atmosphere and be self-motivated to deliver quality work.
- Effectively multitask in a high-energy, fast-paced omni-channel retail environment.
- Comfortable engaging with guests to ensure a welcoming environment for all.
- Required to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Honest communicator who welcomes direct feedback.
- Reliable and able to work full-day shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be available to work during holidays with no planned vacations.
- Experience in the outdoor industry is a plus but not required.

Nice-to-haves include previous boot fitting experience (training provided) and Point of Sales system experience.
Pay
The base wage for this role ranges from $19.00 to $22.84 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Internal pay equity is also considered. While the full range is listed, hiring typically occurs below the top of the range to allow for professional and financial growth.
Schedule
Duration: mid-October through mid-February, with the possibility to extend. Requires weekend and holiday availability, including Black Friday and the weeks around Christmas. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
