Seasonal Automotive Detailer - Car Washer- Reagan Airport

About the role

We are seeking responsible, dedicated individuals to join our team as full-time seasonal Automotive Detailers. This position is located at 2500 National Ave, Arlington, VA 22202 (DCA) and pays $17.50 per hour. This is a seasonal role with a maximum length of employment of 120 days.

• Wednesday - Sunday: 6:00pm - 2:30am
• Thursday - Monday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Wednesday - Sunday: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
• Thursday - Monday: 11:00am - 7:30pm

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks.
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage.
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data.
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found.
• Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth.
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage and report any safety concerns.
• Fuel and stage vehicle; pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and other miscellaneous tasks.
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Must have a satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no DUI or DWI on driving record in the last 3 years), employment reference, education, and social security.
• Under 25-minute commute (in rush hour traffic) from the location posted preferred.
• Must be willing to accept a seasonal role (up to 120 days tenure).

Pay

$17.50 per hour.
