Automotive Detailer - Car Washer- Reagan Airport

About the role

We are seeking responsible, dedicated individuals to join our team as full-time Automotive Detailers at Reagan/National Airport (DCA), 2500 National Ave, Arlington, VA 22202. This position leads our commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure the health and safety of everyone.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found
• Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage and report any safety concerns
• Fuel and stage vehicle; pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning interiors and exteriors of branch locations (desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, etc.)
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no DUI or DWI on driving record in the last 3 years), employment reference, education, and social security
• Under 25-minute commute (in rush hour traffic) from the location preferred
• At least six (6) consecutive months of prior work/organizational experience
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered as required by applicable law

Pay

$17.50 per hour, with yearly merit increases based on performance.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week with a consistent schedule. Available shifts:

• Wednesday – Sunday: 4:00 pm – 12:30 am
• Thursday – Monday: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm
• Friday – Tuesday: 3:30 pm – 12:00 am
