Seasonal Aquatics Worker - Indiana Dunes State Park

About the role

Indiana Dunes State Park is seeking seasonal workers to assist with various activities and ensure guest safety.

Responsibilities

• Lifeguards and Aquatics Attendants - Monitor visitor activities, administer first aid and CPR, and report accidents.
• Marina Attendants - Ensure safety of visitors, operate and fuel watercraft, and manage marina operations.
• Shuttle Boat Operators - Ferry passengers safely, administer first aid, and report incidents.
• Supervisory Roles - Head Captains, Pool Supervisors, and Co-Captains - Supervise lifeguarding staff, administer first aid, and report incidents.

Requirements

• Completion of American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, American Red Cross Community CPR, First Aid and AED certifications.
• Physical training, including swimming and running.
• May be required to wear a DNR provided uniform.
• May need a valid driver's license.
• Expected to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• May work in potentially inclement weather and with DOC work release crews.
