SEAS Learn to Skate Director - HYCC

About the role

The Skating Director is responsible for the overall leadership, organization, and operation of the HYCC Skating School Learn to Skate Program. This position oversees all Skating Professionals and ensures that instruction, safety, and program delivery meet or exceed Learn to Skate USA, U.S. Figure Skating (USFS), Professional Skaters Association (PSA), and HYCC standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and supervise lesson plans while maintaining the philosophies and expectations set forth by the Town of Barnstable.
• Provide leadership and organization for the Skating School Learn to Skate Program.
• Ensure instruction, safety, and program delivery align with Learn to Skate USA, USFS, PSA, and HYCC standards.
• Oversee and supervise Skating Professionals.

Requirements

• CPR / First Aid certified
• Membership to Learn to Skate USA as an instructor
• Membership to U.S. Figure Skating (USFS)
• Membership to Professional Skaters Association (PSA)
• Liability Insurance Certificate
• Current CER Certificates
• Experience supervising activities
• Positive attitude
