About the role

As a key contributor, you will leverage your deep analytical skills to dissect intricate quality issues, driving solutions that span multiple product areas and shape engineering priorities. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who thrives on solving ambiguous problems, designing innovative strategies, and making a tangible difference in the reliability and effectiveness of widely used digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the generation and rigorous testing of hypotheses for complex, undefined problems, defining quantitative metrics and utilizing logical reasoning to drive critical decisions.
  • Interpret diverse data sets and communicate insightful findings clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Calculate and analyze key statistics (e.g., precision, recall, balanced accuracy) to assess the performance of advanced technical models, including machine learning systems and classifiers, identifying subtle yet significant performance nuances.
  • Independently construct highly complex and efficient data queries, providing multiple robust interpretations of results.
  • Proactively identify meaningful and creative signals to uncover behavior patterns that can enhance algorithms, including feature engineering.
  • Apply domain expertise to pinpoint system gaps and opportunities for improvement, developing scalable solutions for quality issues and sourcing additional examples for action or training.
  • Design and implement policies, strategies, and workflows from the ground up, co-developing engineering priorities and solutions.
  • Contribute to project scoping, generate new ideas and viable solutions with engineering partners, and manage project priorities and resource allocation.
