QUALITY ANALYST 3

About the Role

Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications. Provide continuous oversight of work completion and progressing for all projects to improve development of shipbuilding proficiency and show the importance of signatures.

Key Objectives

• Assess closed and open work control document, which includes:
  • Selecting work control document (work package and/or IR)
  • Gathering all applicable (Drawings, IRs, ERs) supplemental documents
  • Constantly verifying work completion on the Submarine, Carrier and/or Shop
  • Enter surveillance of work control document in a database (SharePoint)
  • Write major and minor findings
  • Verify that corrective actions are complete

Requirements

Must have one of the following:

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience
• Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience
• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate's Degree or other formal 2-year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
• High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice to Have

• Experienced shipbuilder with proficiency in conveying design intent for their given discipline
• Foreman, General Foreman and/or Construction Supervisor knowledge and/or experience
• Willingness to spend over 75% of the day on the deckplate
• Planning and/or Scheduling experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. There will be constant interface with deck plate personnel, engineering and planning.
• Experience with Electrical and/or Visual Work Instructions is a plus
• DDMS, SAP, SWiMS, SharePoint and COGNOS knowledge is a plus

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this role is $84,000.00 to $105,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
