Seamstress/Tailor

Cintas is seeking a Seamstress/Tailor to support the Rental Division.

About the role

The Seamstress/Tailor is responsible for accurately altering customer garments. Daily tasks include hemming and sewing emblems to garments. The Seamstress/Tailor also visually inspects garments to identify the need for proactive repairing, such as buttons, zippers, or garment tears. The Seamstress/Tailor uses commercial sewing machines, Button machine, Blind Stitch and Heat Seal machine to complete daily tasks. The Seamstress/Tailor will be expected to maintain the cleanliness of their work area and to meet or exceed a standard for quantity and quality of work.

Responsibilities

• Accurately alter customer garments.
• Hem and sew emblems to garments.
• Visually inspect garments for repairs like buttons, zippers, or tears.
• Use commercial sewing machines, Button machine, Blind Stitch and Heat Seal machine.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Meet or exceed standards for quantity and quality of work.

Qualifications

• Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the US and must be 18 years of age or older.
• Work Expectations: Adhere to attendance policy, work in a safe proximity to others, work in a fast-paced environment with time pressures, and learn to use a computer program.
• Physical Qualifications: Requires repetitive motions, stretching, bending, turning, or reaching.
• Attributes of a Great Employee-Partner: Attention to detail, work ethic, interpersonal skills, teamwork, safety orientation, adaptability, integrity/honesty.

How you will be evaluated

The full selection process may include application and resume review, interviews, and a job tryout. Candidates will be compensated for their time during the job tryout. Only those identified as most qualified will be invited to the next step in the process. Conditional job offers require a background check and drug screen.
