Seafood Manager

Main Responsibilities

• Lead all seafood department operations, including ordering, receiving, merchandising, pricing, inventory control, and customer service.
• Maintain attractive, fully stocked displays that drive sales and create an exceptional shopping experience.
• Achieve department goals related to sales, gross profit, labor, shrink, and inventory management.
• Recruit, train, develop, and coach associates to foster a culture of engagement and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company operating standards.
• Create schedules and staffing plans that support customer demand and operational efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with customers and serve as the department expert for seafood products and preparation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in seafood, fresh foods, grocery retail, or another perishable department.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management, ordering, merchandising, and food safety standards.
• A commitment to exceptional customer service and community engagement.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
• Passion for fresh, high-quality food and delivering an outstanding shopping experience.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Skills

While not required, candidates with the following skills will be given priority consideration:

• Experience with seafood preparation and cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of seafood sourcing and supply chain management.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
